PROGRAMME OUTCOMES (POs)

PO-1 Understanding of plant diversity and its importantin the maintenance of ecological balance.

PO-2 Student learn to carry out practical work inthe field and in the laboratory ,interpreting plant morphology  and anatomy ,plant identification ,vegetation analysis techniques.

PO-3 Apply the knowledge  of basic science ,life science andfundamental process of plants.

PO-4 Apply modern techniques and instruments forbiochemical estimation, molecular biology, biotechnology,  plant tissue culture experiments, cellular and physiological studies of plantswith and understanding of the application in human life.

PO-5 Apply the knowledge gained from the studies forthe upliftment of society via addressing health, environmental issues, foodscarcity etc.

PO-6 Apply knowledge for conservation of endemic andendangered plant species.

PROGRAMME SPECIFIC OUTCOMES (PSOs)

PSO-1.Collaborate effectively on team-orientedprojects and in the field of life science.

PSO-2 Student will be able to relate the physicalfeatures of the environment to the structure of the population, communities andecosystem.

PSO-3 Explain biodiversity ,climate change and plantpathology.

PSO-4 Apply knowledge to develop the sustainable andeco-friendly technology in industrial botany.

PSO-5 Apply knowledge of medicinal and economic botanyin day to day life.

PSO-6 Understand plant life process, bio-molecules,basic hereditary and evolutionary principles.

PSO-7 Student will be able to compare and contrastthe characteristics of the different groups of plant such as Algae, Fungi, Bryophytes,Pteridophytes, Gymnosperm, and Angiosperm.

PSO-08 Student will be able to explain how the plantfunction at gene ,genome, cellular and tissue level.
