SHASHIDHAR PANDA GOVERNMENT COLLEGE SARIYA is situated in rural area of Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district of Chhattisgarh state. It is a co-educational institute which is is dedicated to provide quality higher education in this socially and economically challenged place. The college was established on 15.05.2017 by the Chhattisagarh Government of Higher Education. It is situated in ODISHA ROAD BEHIND POLICE STATION THANA SARIYA . Initially the name of the college was Government Naveen College, Sariya , which was later renamed after great educationist and philanthropist Shri Shashidhar panda .

The tagline of the college is “gyanam paramam dhyeyam” that means, “Knowledge is the supreme goal’’(gyan hi hamara param dhyey hai) . As the tagline gives the expressions of positive and all round growth of the students of the institution, as per  the vision of Higher Education. 

Initially, the was affiliated to the Atal Bihari Bajpayee University Bilaspur. Now the college offers Arts, Science, and commerce, along with  B.A.  B.Sc. and B.com. under the  affiliation of Shaheed nandkumar patel university Raigarh. 

The institution is fully aware of its heightened responsibility of providing education as well as to empower these young students and makes all possible efforts to motivate these students towards stairs of success.
